Figure skater Cha Jun-hwan represents South Korea in the men’s singles category. He has won six South Korean national titles and been named the 2022 Four Continents champion. He also placed third at the Grand Prix Final in 2018–19 and the Junior Grand Prix Final in 2016–17.

Cha Jun-hwan (Hangul: ; born October 21, 2001) competes in the men’s singles category of figure skating for South Korea. In addition to his six South Korean national titles, he is also a 2022 Four Continents champion, a 2018-2019 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, a 2016-17 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).
In the ISU Grand Prix series, he has three bronze medals and in the ISU Challenger Series, he has four medals to his name (including gold at the 2022 CS Finlandia Trophy). He competed for South Korea in the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics.
On October 21, 2001, Cha Jun-Hwan entered the world in Seoul. He had a career in the arts from a young age, acting, modelling, and dancing. His older sibling is four years his senior. In June of 2020, Cha Jun-Hwan made an appearance on the television programme King of Mask Singer, a musical variety show.

The little athlete has developed quite a resume since he was a toddler, and he is now a skater. At age six, he began appearing in Korean dramas like as The Return of Iljimae (2009). After he finally figured out how to skate, however, he was hooked for life.
To my knowledge, this is the best Olympic performance ever by a male skater from South Korea. For a while, Cha Jun-Hwan owned the previous record with his 15th-place performance at PyeongChang 2018. For South Korea, only Kim Yu-na, who won the women’s singles gold in 2010 and the silver in 2014, has ever come close to competing at the Olympic level in figure skating.
With a new personal best of 99.51 points in the short programme, Cha Jun-Hwan was in fourth place heading into the free skate.
All three skaters ahead of him had scored above 100 in the short programme. And everyone else in the free skate attempted more quads than Cha Jun-Hwan did (both of which he landed).
Final Words
Skating to Giacomo Puccini’s “Turandot,” Cha Jun-Hwan stumbled on his opening quadruple toe loop. After a difficult takeoff, he landed with a huge spill.
The quadruple salchow was performed without a hitch. Later in the show, Cha Jun-Hwan attempted a triple lutz-single euler-triple salchow sequence, but he fell flat in the middle.
When Cha Jun-Hwan competition was over, there were still three other skaters left, and all of them had finished ahead of him.
