How to Login IP Address

Step 1 – The first step in the login process is to make sure your choice of device is connected to the router’s network. Once the connection has been established, you may open the web browser and log in from your local network into the router’s console.

Step 2 – Proceed to log into your IP of by clicking on the visible “Access Router Page” button to access your router admin panel.

Sometimes home administrators believe that a router is using the default IP address of when in truth it is configured to a different one. To check the local router’s current IP address one must check the default gateway of any device that is currently connected or associated to it. If you are using a Windows device or OS, you will be able to access the router’s IP address by using the command “ipconfig”. To do this, you must open the command prompt and enter the command “ipconfig”. This will display a list of connections of your computer. Method 1 – Use the Router’s Default Username & Password

The final method is to employ the use of Universal plug and play via which enables you to forward ports without a password. How to modify the IP Address

Want to change your router’s IP address? You can only do so if it is in the range of any private IP. However, a thing to be noted is that changing your default IP address of will in no way improve network security of the home network. Any router that employs non-default IP address settings may be rebuilt to use their defaults. It can be rebuilt with the help of the hard reset process.

Some of the broadband routers used for home networking come with a mini reset switch. The button remains hidden on the bottom or underside of the unit. Pressing of this button will ensure the restoration of the default settings. While usually, it takes 15 seconds of button pressing to do the trick, it may sometimes take longer. It actually depends on the brand or model of the router in use.

Another way to modify your IP address settings is to operate the Admin console. To use this method you have to first log in and then proceed towards the Network>>LAN section. You will be able to alter your IP Address from here.

Ways to Troubleshoot IP address

At times it may so happen that your browser refuses to cooperate and continually displays an error while loading. Here, either the web page or the default gateway is unavailable.

This inconvenience may be caused by two possibilities. Either your router is offline or it is unable to respond due to some technical error. To rectify the situation, ensure your Ethernet cable is connected with your router. Next, check the LED of the router and reset your connections if needed.
